Clinical problem 1 (pediatrics/ yellow baby)
A term 8-pound infant with history of a normalpostdelivery course was discharged home with mother at 40 hours of age. The infant is being fed mother’s milk every 2 or 3 hours and is producing clear urine, wetting seven diapers per day. The parents call the office on the third day of life to complain that the infant appears yellow and they are concerned.
